 I want to learn guitar...where do I start? I say "here!" Apr 27, 2010
I'm just now picking up a guitar (outside of playing piano for 2 years) for the first time. Where do I start? The way I learn is not by a book filled with text, confusing musical notations and or pictures but by understanding the basic structure of how this piece of wood (with strings) will create a harmonious sound. With the help of Youtube guiding me through my favourite songs and this book telling me how each chord is precisely played - learning has never been so easy for me. This book is truly a companion to any guitarist. It has an easy going wire binding with a dictionary like persona so you can flip to the next relevant chord in no time. I can retain these chords into my memory bank the more I practice and in my book that is how to become a guitarist.
Very easy to understand cutting out the stuff that makes a person want to give up. Just learn these chords. The internet doesn't hurt neither!

I love this book. It not only shows the chart, but it has pictures of what a typical hand would look like while playing each chord.

Exactly what I needed Jun 02, 2009
Simple, easy to follow layout and well explained format with fingering alternatives for every chord under the sun. I'm learning the acoustic guitar as a worship leader and this will come in very useful as I navigate chord charts and decipher new chords that come my way. I like that it's relatively small and is spiral bound also.

Best Guitar Book I've Ever Seen Nov 24, 2008
I was amazed from the time I first opened the cover. The author's introduction pretty much says all that I would emphasize... truly designed well and tied together with easy-to-understand logic. I've been playing guitar for 40+ years and have never seen a better chord book than this one. Whether you are just learning or think you know it all... this book can help you learn more. I'm giving 3 copies as gifts this Christmas to family and friends. Get it; you won't be disapointed.
